Write to OmegaCam Support
The support address is support[at]omegacam.com. When you write, replace [at] with the @ sign. It is spelled out like this so automated scrapers do not flood the inbox with spam, and retyping it takes a few seconds.
A person reads the inbox, not a bot, and replies usually take a few working days. If a week passes with no answer, send a short follow-up that mentions the date of your first message and we will find it.
Safety comes first. If you or someone else is in danger, contact your local emergency services before you contact us. We cannot send help ourselves, but we can act on reports about accounts.
A Faster Answer Might Already Exist
Most questions are covered on a page you can open right now.
- How does a chat start, what is free and where do coins come in? The page on how OmegaCam works covers each step.
- Someone behaved badly, or you want to know what you can do about it? Read the video chat safety tips for block and report.
- Curious what happens to your information? The privacy policy explains it in plain language.
- Want the rules of the service itself? The terms of service set them out.
Common Situations and What to Do
- The camera or microphone will not start. Click the lock icon beside the address bar, allow the site to use them and reload. If it still fails, tell us your device and browser.
- A charge you do not recognise. Write with the date and the amount. Never send a full card number.
- Someone broke the rules in a chat. Block and report from the chat screen at the time. If you could not, describe what happened in your message.
- You want your data corrected or deleted. Tell us which, and we will walk you through it. The privacy policy lists your rights.
- You are a parent worried about a child. OmegaCam is for adults. Write to us straight away so we can look into it.
What to Put in Your Message
A few details turn a long thread into a quick fix.
- What happened, in your own words, and roughly when.
- The device and browser you were using, for example "iPhone, Safari".
- For payment questions: the date and the amount, never the card number.
- For reports: whether you used block or report from the chat screen.
Please never include passwords or full card details, because we will never ask for them. Write in the language you are most comfortable with and keep sentences short, which also helps translation tools. A message sent at night is normally read the next working day.
What We Can Help With, and What We Cannot
We can look at a charge, a report you could not send from the chat, a camera that stays black after you followed the usual steps, or a request to correct or delete your data. We can also tell you whether a message you received from "OmegaCam" is actually from us: if it asks for a password or a card, it is not.
We cannot join a call, recover a conversation after it has ended, or tell you who you were just matched with. Matching is random and one to one; there is no transcript we can pull up later. We also cannot send emergency help. If you or someone else is in danger, call the local number first, then write to us if an account needs looking at.
For how a chat starts, what is free and where coins come in, how OmegaCam works is faster than waiting for a reply. For block, report and what not to share, the video chat safety tips cover it. For what we collect, the privacy policy is the document we will point you to anyway.
When You Will Hear Back
Someone on the team reads the inbox on working days. We do not quote a number of hours, because a payment question with a date and amount is quicker than a report that needs looking at. If a week passes with no answer, send a short follow-up that mentions the date of your first message. Two messages with the same subject are easier to find than a third one with a new subject.
If you wrote about a camera that will not start, try the camera not working in your browser guide while you wait, then the webcam test. A surprising number of tickets close themselves that way, and you can still write if they do not.
Contact Questions
Is there a contact form?
No. Write to support[at]omegacam.com and replace [at] with @. A form would collect extra data we do not need, so we keep it to email.
How fast do you reply?
A person reads the inbox on working days. Payment questions with a date and amount are usually quicker than reports that need looking at. If a week passes, send a short follow-up with the date of your first message.
Can you tell me who I was just matched with?
No. Matching is random and one to one, and we do not keep a transcript of the call. If someone broke the house rules, block and report from the chat screen, or describe what happened when you write.
